Teesta Nayak

Though originally from Calcutta, Teesta currently resides in Hanoi, Vietnam along with her little dog, Teddy. She completed her Hatha Yoga Teacher Training in 2015 in Vashisht- a beautiful mountain village in Himachal Pradesh, India.
Yoga became an integral part of Teesta’s life when she moved into a little hut by a river, nestled in the Shola Forest of Tamil Nadu in 2010. Looking back, that first week of living in the heart of the forest marked the start of a lifelong relationship with nature. Teesta moved to the forest in order to work with children in a school in the valley. While consciously focused on gaining insight into teaching, an entirely different transformation began to take place. Nature was actively contributing to a transition into a more sustainable, ethical and holistic lifestyle.
On a more personal level, sustainable living has taught Teesta to value her health and wellbeing, as well as her relationships, community and created awareness around spiritual growth.
Teesta believes that each day provides us with the opportunity to deepen our practice and be grateful for what is.

My actions are my only true belongings.
